How about we find a compromise here:

Let's start by keeping all tier <5 at/just above the price in item description, and then follow ur price table for higher tiers, since u need 2 specialize in order to get ur mining high enough to acquire them. Your +500/teir works for me pup, lets get this in action asap.

honestly, prices have bounced around so much, i honestly have no idea what anything will sell for anymore. the prices that i had 2 months ago are now considered "overpriced" even though people are only selling for about 200g to 1k gold less then me in most places....others are selling for about 1/5th of my standard prices.

granted, i dont usually sell the ores themselves, but the ingots and the geodes...but took them off, because even when i was giving bulk deals...people were still going with people who werent even breaking even, but losing gold. more power to them i guess.

ingots sometimes i have to base upon wood prices... geodes i usually go 2x ore price, since 3x gets ridiculous for high tiers

My ingot prices i normally place at 20, 40, 80, 160, 300, 550, 1000 ...

Obviously, most of what this proposed guild is doing will be ore and geode based, but guideline prices for ingots should probably be here as well.

Anyone got any thoughts or comments on this ...

as i said earlier, i kind of have to base ingot prices on the price of wood. Normally I tell people to get their own wood. I can do up to tier 24 ingots atm.

hhmmm.... (mind you, t5 and up of ingots)
400, 800, 1200, 2000, 4000, 6000, 8500, 11000, 13500, etc.

if that still seems overpriced, give me some feed back on it. its basically 4x the times of the ore. because "most" of the ingot makers, dont do woodcutting.

ingots are tough as it's based upon the wood market, if the wood costs a lot i only charge one of the ores. typically i go wood price plus 1.5 ore, or if the person gets the wood i charge them for the ore. If i get exp from making the ingot i charge less.

what i have found lately is 1 piece of wood is about the same price as 1 ore...when you get to the uncommon+ tiers

I agree - most of us do not cut our own wood. So cost does need to reflect cost of extra items. I made a rough table for people to comment on or change. Just a starting point.

ORE - tier 1 - 6.0 Ingots - tier 1 - 12.5
- tier 2 - 12.5 - tier 2 - 20.0
- tier 3 - 20.0 - tier 3 - 32.5
- tier 4 - 32.5 - tier 4 - 47.5
- tier 5 - 47.5 - tier 5 - 65.0
- tier 6 - 65.0 - tier 6 - 85.0
- tier 7 - 85.0 - tier 7 - 107.5
- tier 8 - 107.5 - tier 8 - 132.5
- tier 9 - 132.5 - tier 9 - 160.0
- tier 10 - 160.0 - tier 10 - 190.0
- tier 11 - 190.0 - tier 11 - 222.5
- tier 12 - 222.5 - tier 12 - 257.5
- tier 13 - 257.5 - tier 13 - 295.0
- tier 14 - 295.0 - tier 14 - 332.5
- tier 15 - 332.5 - tier 15 - 372.5
- tier 16 - 372.5 - tier 16 - 415.0
- tier 17 - 415.0 - tier 17 - 460.0
- tier 18 - 460.0 - tier 18 - 507.5
- tier 19 - 507.5 - tier 19 - 557.5
- tier 20 - 557.5 - tier 20 - 610.0

Well here is something to start with, what do you all think???

erm ... are you sure you've typed that in right, because it makes no sense to me.

It puts the price of a tier 10 ingot at the price of 1 ore, plus 30 gold

I'll suggest an alternative price set here, but as flipy has said, so much is dependent on the wood prices. I think this can, basically, hold for up to tier 10. Beyond that point, wood availability is the biggest problem

Prices are given as Ore / ingot

Tier 1 5 / 20
Tier 2 10 / 40
Tier 3 20 / 80
Tier 4 40 / 160
Tier 5 60 / 250
Tier 6 120 / 500
Tier 7 200 / 850
Tier 8 400 / 1700
Tier 9 600 / 2500
Tier 10 1000 / 4000

On this basis, wood would (no pun intended) price closely to the same tier ore.

Please review and comment

I would like to be part of the guild... but lets just get it started. We can adjust the pricing accordingly. Not everyone will agree, but that's just the way it is.

Your ore schedule is easy to follow.

Geodes @ 3X ore value

Ingots @ 4X ore value; flucuating on wood market.

What else?

My org post did not show up right - but, as I stated, it was just a starting point....your price scale is just fine to me....run with it, and we can adjust as needed

I like the above pricing system 4x for ingots coz they take 4x res.
Both wood and ore are 100% activity so price should be the same.
THe only thing I would suggest is @ t5, t10, t15, t20, t25, the incremental jump increases. To what I'm not sure, but there needs to be some reward for the 1 in a week rare ore or wood you get.
Mind you I get wood more often than that, HAHAHAHA

Alright i'll post what i'm doing, please discuss and either agree or some up with something better:

Tier Ore Val Geode Ingot (can vary)
1 5 15 20
2 10 30 40
3 20 60 80
4 50 150 200
5 100 300 400
6 200 600 800
7 300 900 1200
8 400 1200 1600
9 500 1500 2000
10 1000 3000 4000
11 1500 4500 6000
12 2000 6000 8000
13 2500 7500 10000
14 3000 9000 12000
15 3500 10500 14000
16 4000 12000 16000
17 4500 13500 18000

Alright as i do this i'm noticing the prices on higher tier items will start to get a little ridiculous imo... anyone have an ideas.

For the higher tiers, it depends on how demand from crafters goes.

Yes, I like to provide resources, at a reasonable price. But on the other hand, I'm not going to supply ludicrously cheap ingots for people to craft high-tier epics, which they sell at 3-400k profit.

As it is, the tier 18 ingot will be selling for 20k each, BCA (52 epic slash) needs 3 of these. That doesn't seem to be too extreme to me. Also, as you said at the start, this applies to AH pricing. If someone wants to pm a guild member, requesting a particular tier and quantity, then they are free to negotiate the price.

What this gives to both miners and crafters is pricing knowledge. We know what we are likely to get for our products, and they know how much the materials they need are going to cost.

Do bear in mind that, on the prices as they are, projected out, a tier 30 ingot would cost 44k. Possibly a 'jump' in pricing, past tier 20, might be called for - maybe ores going up by 1k a time, ingots by 4k ? That would put a tier 30 ingot at 64k.
