Default Melee Weapon Comparison

Forgot to mention, this is an excel spreadsheet 97-03

Edit: Uploaded an empty file first time, fixed now.

Whipped this up to make my job easier and more accurate when seeing which weapon is better.

Format for the Weapons tab

Min
Max
Speed
Hands

Min - Should be set to the minimum damage of the weapon.
Max - Should be set to the maximum damage of the weapon.
Speed - Should be set to the speed value of the weapon.
Hands - 1 for 1H weapons, 2 for 2H weapons.

Format for the Skills tab

Should be easy enough, just set the skills to what they are.

Calculations tab, if you want to learn how I calculate this, or see if I made any mistakes, you can view this, also shows a bit more info (max crit for example).

Rest is self explanetory, ask any questions, post any suggestions, hoping to do a ranged one soon

Note: DPS is based off me thinking that a speed of the weapon is in tenths of a second (so a weapon speed of 20 is really 2 seconds), even if thats wrong, the higher the number there the better the weapon, use this to judge which weapon to get.

July 26th - Fixed overcrit not being calculated in DPS.

Good job mate, haven't had a chance yet to check the Crit calculations, but looks good.

Nice! Maybe you can add the input of piercing/slashing/crushing skills? or haven't they got any influence on damage?

I was going to put those in, but those are only used for hit chance based on the monsters level and the skill level, and I don't know the formula for that at all.

I'm hoping maybe once we get some 'tests' to see accuracy and such we can develop some formulas to estimate it.
