Post Help !

I know this has nothing to do with the game, but i have no where else to go. I have adware on my computer its running my computer, it won't let me open any adware ckeckin programs or web sites. So i tried to restore it and that didn't work. So what can i do. I restarted my comp hit f8 and this is what it says....

Windows Advanced Options Menu

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Enable boot logging
Enable VGA Mode
Last Known Good Configuration
Directory Services Restore Mode-- This is what i did and its still happens
Debugging Mode
Disabled Automatic restart on system failure

Start Window Normally
Reboot
Return to OS choices Menu

I have no clue what to do someone said something about recovering with the program cd and i don't know how to do that. Can anyone help ?

I recommend contacting a tech support service and not relying on this forum for that kind of assistance.

If it's not your computer (like if it's your parents' or whatever) I recommend letting them know so they can get it sorted out.

What operational system are u using?
How do you know its adware?
Which program did you use to check for malware?
How long has this been going on?
Also:
what do you mean when you say it dont leat you open websites? Do you get an error message? If so what does it say?
You can try chosing Safe Mode, and when Windows loads fully you go:
-Start menu
-All programs
-Acessories
-System Tools
-Restore system

Of course, this is for WIN XP, and I dont know which one is yours.

Im using Windows XP and i don't know its adware jeff said it probably was because it won't let me open and Adware scan programs or sites, its been going on for about a 2 weeks. And as for programs i don't have anything im really worried about, i have all of my pictures saved to a site i can pull them back from. I have just got to figure out how to re-do everything.

If doesnt help, chose a date even more remote from today-2-3 months ago
Does the system restore proces finish or is it interupted?
If system restore cant help you, then I really doubt its an adware program what you have got.

System restore simply changes a couple of the system startup files, and will not effect anything that is tagged into another file like as a .dll that is loaded when another program starts, such as Windows Explorer.

After you find your windows XP installation disc, just reboot with it, and you can reformat the partition from the setup screen there.

well its good that it works for you again though try doing weekly or monthly scans that should greatly reduce the chances of it happening again

True, but if you have a healthy firewall, you should not have a problem with most of these things.
