Default piercing and parry

so i understand the importance of dex w/ using piercing... damage/accuracy...but as in some weapons...str determines how often you get parried... is this figured into piercing weapons...or is it dex as well...b/c if you think about how you would use a piercing weapon.. it should really be determined by dex + agi or the likes...

i mean to get parried upon..not for you to parry

Parry relies on Dex + Agi.
Blocking relies on Str + Agi.

but....the skills so u dont GET parried.... still dex and agi? i thought str had a role...i was just wondering if str played a role in piercers as well as slashers and smashers

oh, stat...I don't think stats negatively affact parry/block etc

aside from agi...which make you miss

But then how come that the parry skill provides a chance of up to .2% per skill level to parry?

Str description states that the stat plays a role in how likely you are to prevent someone from parrying with some weapons. It doesn’t explicitly tell which weapons, but I’m guessing it’s for avoiding parries against staves and crushers, hopefully not slashers and whips (because if that would be the case there’d be hardly any reason to put more than a few points in Dex). For avoiding parries against piercers, dex is probably the only relevant stat.
