Newbeing questions

So I just started playing this game and I already ran into many questions.
First of all I became a DarkNight, so I should go after melee equips I guess.

But how do I know what to get? Slash - Piercing etc etc...

What weapons should I go after?

What magic should i invest in? Blue green grey etc etc...


If this could be answered i'd be on my way a little furter.

there are many threads on chararcter building in the forums. just search for keywords "dark knight" "char building" "character building" etc...

Thats exactly what I did and all i found was some vague indications to the word DarkKnight but no builds, only other people who asked exactly thesame as i just did but no answers...
