I want to know the answer to this question, but nobody seems to know why they have armor clases ! Maybe they can be killed, but they don have HP.Maybe Jeff can tell us what's this all about !

Pets with armor classes...
Not only do you have to get your petsmanship level to 10 before you can even use pets in battle (a rat?) but also you have to have a certain armor requirement?
My estimate on the minimum level requirement to use a pet may be wrong but if it's right it seems like becoming a full-fledged beast master is hard to start out- but once you do your good to go with that extra hit per round.

To clarify, the "armor class" on a pet is not the minimum armor class requirement for you to use a pet. No such requirement exists. It is a stat that is listed on pets, but which has no current in-game function. (As pets cannot be attacked and do not contribute to your armor.) The only requirement to use a pet is the listed Petsmanship value. (And virtues, if it is an epic pet.)
