Does it work with when I'm auto-attacking or only when I'm auto-shooting?

One other question- Can your vengeful shot turn into a tri-shot or critical shot? Or is it strictly just a regular shot?

vengeful is Ranged only. You have to have bow equiped and you ahve to use the bow.

Crit, yes. Trishot, so far no.
