I have killed the 142 boss on alt yet trying to walk through ancient rocklands I got a static encounter, I am just wondering why this is?

I have killed the 142 in the latest reroll as shown on tops list, ungrouped and my boss quest is currently merfolk dun 3

Maybe a legacy thing from before heroic boss buff?

Used to be even if you killed the 132 regular, you would always get static until you killed the 132 heroic for Lock of Hair.

I would not fancy attempting a heroic 132 these days.
