Here is my data logged for my 5th pilgrimage.
I hope this data is helpful for future pilgrims to give a sense of what it will take. It's a marathon. Plan accordingly. I planned and took healthy breaks. In addition, I made it a point to resource after stat level gains or arena matches just to keep a mix of things to do. Selling off my t30 resources helped enormously to minimize dipping into my TC reserves.
I did this final pilgrimage as a 1st class Adventurer, 2nd class Wizard and caster build. I had an experience helmet (Aliangel) along with a 4-piece suite of Raiden sleeves and leggings to start off with basically 100 stat levels in magic. Adding a stockpile of r5 Pilgrim potions, I navigated the four main stats as followed:
Melee 1-49. Recovery 1-49. Magic 1-49.
Melee 50-89. Recovery 50-89. Magic 50-89.
Recovery 90-93.
Then all of Defense 1-89.
I made it a point to push through my final hell stat level of 89-90 and on to 93 while my experience gains were still consistently high. The rationale is that you want to aim for the target 360 total stat levels via path-of-least-insanity. This meant only enduring ONE hell stat level of 89.
When in character levels 87-88-89, you are going to change zones. This means the rhythm of your fights change with regards to length (slightly longer) and experience gains (slightly lower).
I think the only piece of information that needs explaining is the percentage data and how I arrived at it. Using the experience tables, it's easy to manipulate a spreadsheet to give you cumulative totals.
The cumulative total experience for a 90.90.90.90 stat level spread is 702,485,600 exp. (with four 89-90 hell stat levels)
The cumulative total experience for an 89.89.89.93 stat level spread is 684,518,700 exp. (just one 89-90 hell stat level)
It's a simple formula of "current cumulative exp/684,518,700 exp"
And here is my data.
