Could I have conformation that slice and dice will work for the werewolf class with whips?

Please provide conformation:

"They have a 5% (up to 15% with class-enhancing skills) chance of performing a slice and dice with any type of melee weapon"

A whips as a slashing weapon is a melee weapon hence either it will work or the description should be changed.
