ToU update
Excellent move on your side ☺
Those changes and additions were needed to deal with current situation as well control certain behaviors.
Since toon sharing is somewhat tolerated (but strongly not recomended) I would suggest punishments should apply to specific toon or forum account since there is possibility it could be 2 different persons.
Unless you can say without doubt certain person guilt and ban both forum and all their accounts.
What might happen : "sitter" get drunk and get owner in trouble not only on this character but everything else that is linked to it.
Just trying to forsee before it happens .

Or, we can continue to let Glitch handle each one on a case-by-case basis.

Ermmmm so where does this leave shadowhock / tsu and a few other people who are muted on main char but speak via an alt? surely this contradicts the above statment?

There's a distinction to be made between muted characters and muted people. Some players have managed to get a character permanently muted (which is a pain in their butt that they get to live with) but are not muted themselves. That statement is to prevent against posts that start out like: "My buddy Derpface is muted and he just wants to say..."

There was no reason to change the ToU in my opinion. I guess it will shut a few drama or accusations but Glitchless you should not fear or doubt to Ban people that you think that are worth banning, you have the right , you basically own the toons. Just be more careful on balancing out what is more detirmental for your game.
Take into serious consideration how to handle this for PvP (arena) if you get top 10 to share toons, just cause they want to share... in a way they will be manipulating top 10 with the option of dont fight each others or things like that... it is nearly impossible to determine who is manipulating if they all act stupid or even worse, if they all act by the rules.

Does this include the 'MG can' joke that has been running around for years?

So, just to be clear, when the toon, call him "Buddy" says "My buddy Derpface is muted and he just wants to say...", then "Buddy" can be muted, according to Rule #7. But if "Buddy" is actually Derpface, then it's cool if he talks.
Okay, that makes complete sense to me.

To reiterate, a person can have a muted character and not be permamuted, just like a person may have owned a character that is now banned yet they are still playing on other characters without getting banned. It should make sense.
