A hybrid rating system has been created for the arena, utilizing the best from both systems. Players will now have two ratings: a "fast" rating which goes up and down based on wins and losses and a "slow" rating, which goes up when you win but does not decrease when you lose. The actual rating used for rankings and tempers will be whichever of these values is highest for you. Some of the finer details include:
- Fast rating will not decay unless you have not been active in the arena much, the same as the 3v3 arena system decay worked. If inactive, decay will be 2% per day or 5% during rush week. Cannot decay below 500.
- Slow rating will decay daily at 1%, 2% during rush week. Cannot decay below 500.
- Your slow rating will increase at a diminished rate if it is already significantly higher than your fast rating.
- Your fast rating's gains and losses depend only on the comparison of your own fast rating to your foe's fast rating.
