alienware has tried to make a steam based console as well, but its basicaly just a pc set for a xbox controller and the main tv

you don't need an alienware steam based pc to play steam games...
You just need a computer with the steam client installed (mac, pc, linux)...

Steam is like the iTunes of video games.

You load the steam client onto a computer, log into your account, and you've got digital access to every steam game you've ever purchased.
