Hotkey Trouble

So I'm farming with another toon and I'm using recastable taunts. I put the taunts in my autocast slot and another one not in an autocast slot just as a back up. Even if there's no gem to be drawn, if I press the hotkey for the corresponding slot, it just disappears for both autocast slot and non autocast slot. As far as I know, this shouldn't happen unless I press ctrl+hotkey or shift+hotkey. I forget which it is that is supposed to get rid of the gem. Obviously I can't figure it out now because as soon as I hit the hotkey regardless of shift or ctlr, the gem disappears. So if I try to use my back up taunt, it just disappears without even casting. Can you look into it, Glitch? Thanks for your time.

EDIT: It is also doing the same thing if I use Blood mana/energy gems and 1 time taunts. The gem just disappears and doesn't even get casted.
