Default hellram

can someone help explain the maths of hellram to me

i have 3 pieces, two legs and a helm, but as far as i can tell, only one will go off per hit, and i cant seem to see the maths of how its added together, as it must each be calculated separately to decide on the amount of dam absorber you get (the helm is more than the leg) but if that was the case, you wouldn't you have a chance of two pieces going off in one hit?

I think it is 17% chance for a hit to trigger a hellram, if fail it goes to the next (if any). If that fails it goes to the next etc etc. If you have a full suit it is a 100% chance that a hit will proc some sort of damage shield. By that logic since you have 3 out of 6 pieces half the hits on you should proc a shield of some sort.

EDIT: I just don't know in what order they are prioritized. I would assume highest shield to lowest shield (chest, helm, legs, arms)

17% is an approximation. The real chance of any armor procing from an event triggered from being struck is 1/6. There are 6 pieces of armor, when you are hit you are hit in one of those pieces and that piece has a 100% chance to proc. That is why 2 never go off at once. This is the only mechanic that is based off of which piece is hit, however.
