to be honest. you should never trust anyone not even yourself. Stuff like this one should know better. its also why the beast should drop 1 for everyone that way people dont cry or get shafted. Better yet lets go into the rant the beast should have never been born and everything should of been store bought or crafted like the armor.

A week ago, Myself, Aaronkelly, and Duoraziel killed a legendary beast. Aaron got the drop and it was sold and split. Aaron even agreed to split it evenly. Some people can be trusted.

This is Doomandgloom/Runews/Lordguy the character being Bashed in this stupid topic. Tbh it wasnt totally figured out when we set out on the LG hunt we figured same ol if LG item none pet it would be sold or 3 way crafted etc... we really didnt know what to do if pet. NOW the issue in question... I got killing blow YAY got the pet and ask "what do we do now" instantly scrambles replies with I want gold for my EF gear and brother backed out *Brother your a humble man* when all that was done I offered brother 2 trades = 1m gold out of my pocket before the drop was even bid on. then I said to Scrambles sorry man only have 1mill on me I owe u 1mill. he said thats pretty much Bullcrap to him he wants 10 mill... so then cyress comes along and offers me a Cuddlebug and LoD whip for it. That trade I have accepted and only have recieved the Cuddlebug for now and ebonbone staff to hold till I get the whip. Now with all this being said and done I offered scrambles a mill multiple times just to be belittled and called a scammer. I personally think jeff you need to rethink this 1 lg per kill thing cause its causeing alot of rifts such as this ANYWAYS back to the point. I know people think I made alot of money today I did not. I traded 1 item for 2 items... Now again with that said No matter what im keeping the LoD whip but I havent decided if selling the cuddlebug yet and as ive said in /c many many many times if I sell bug Brother and Scrambles will get 1/3rd the money I get but Noone has that much sitting around just all willy nilly buying crap... so get off my freaking back and realize that Im allowed to do with it as I please and out of my morals and respect for my friends I will not/can not screw a nice person or friend over such as scrambles but seeing this forum subject has really made a test of my anger/morals over how much to really hate someone. however this works out I will be quitting Nod and my chars collecting dust this is not a fun game when greed is all people have. Support him or me I dont care anymore this is my side of the story

Seems to me the grp had an implied agreement to split the drop. The fact a pet dropped and pets werent specifically discussed is just a lame cop-out.

You then traded the drop without out making sure the grp was taken care of first. You jumped at the chance to make sure you got something but could only offer 1m to scrambles. What if you take 1 mil gold, and give Scrambles the whip? Sounds pretty crappy right? Thats how Scrambles feels I am sure.

I understand that you intend to sell the Bug and give Scrambles and Brother all the gold from that sale.

I think the issue is that you put yourself first without regards to the wants of others.

In any case if you are going to quit nod over this, you could attempt to salvage this fiasco before you go. Either way, i'd rather not be in your shoes.

Brother and Scrambles would have split you evenly no matter what the drop was and you know it. You're trying to make it sound in your post as if Scrambles is greedy and that you didn't really gain anything (other than LoD whip and another lg pet). That 1m offer was a joke and not a very good one at that.

Now you're upset that people think that you screwed Scrambles over? Saying in /c how much the community sucks for not supporting you? That you'll quit because everyone is being mean?

Zero reflection over how maybe your own actions weren't that stellar, zero understanding for why Scrambles feels like he does. Zero sympathy from me for you.

I'd sell LoD when u get it, (after staff trade), and the cuddlebug. (for golds)

Give even splits to Scambles and Brother, who will probably refuse, but I'd say "Just help me put this mess that happened behind me by taking a third."

Then move on.

Selling pet and LoD will ofc take time. But this way everyone ends up approx 13 mill?? in front, and you will get to take the high ground and be an upstanding dude.

Now that is what i would do. You are of course, your own man and can do as you wish. Hope this helps.

OK me and jeff and brother came to agreement that 10 mill each would suffice but noticing some things might not work out as well as thought we decided to keep the original trade I did with cyress for the cuddlebug+whip. So I will be Keeping whip but selling cuddlebug and splitting that 3 ways which could be up to 13 mill each if sells at current offer. I have no problem with splitting that with them and wish none of this happened I thank you jeff for your quick response to this forums post and hope this will be fixxed soon as for now CUDDLEBUG FOR SALE PM me ingame if your interested.

That's not what I see at all. It's a me v. we thing.

At first, I didn't like playing games with family and friends, because they all require every person to look out for their own interests and to gain advantage over others. Sore winners, sore losers, bad luck, sandbagging (and other deceits) just didn't sit right with me.

Then, I got introduced to RPGs. A game in which friends or family can work together, and by avoiding those bad traits, their success can be a shared success. No one has to lose for the others to win.

Then, the internet came along, and suddenly, RPGs and their 'work together' mindset made it easy to make new friendships and extend that family feeling beyond physical borders. I like that. I like helping others and the reassurance that others may help me. I like the idea that those people aren't limited to people I met on the street, but can be from countries I never even thought of going to.

Unfortunately, not all people are like that. And when a game or an aspect of a game comes along that potentially rewards one person above others if they put aside those 'work together' principles. then you have a choice.

Your choice was to be a better character, or be a better person. Some of us prefer the company of better people.

Against my better judgement I poked my nose into this to sniff around. After speaking with 2 of the 3 people involved it seems to have been blown a bit out of proportion as usual. We briefly considered doing a Solomon style division where everybody loses, but that did not seem to be an appropriate response. Runews/Lordguy has said he'll be splitting the proceeds of the sale of at least the Cuddlebug and Scrambles should get the 10mil he's after. Everybody wins, nobody needs to be upset.


And if you enter a group to kill the beast be very, very clear with the other people in the group if you expect some sort of item splitting arrangement. Personally we think there should be no such agreements and the other two members should congratulate the lucky one, but when there is an agreement it needs to be set in stone and well-defined or things like this will continue to happen. There's nothing wrong with the system, we're not going to drop 3x the items just because some people can't figure this out on their own.

And remember the person who gets the drop in the group is random, it is not based on who gets the final hit as that would not be fair to tanks or healers.

I myself prefer better people aswell nem and you know me somewhat well and this is behavior I have never shown in nod in any aspect
