Epic Item Storage

I found an Epic last night - hooray! Now I'm being penalised because I don't want to purchase the virtues yet. 7 rock and inventory -1 constantly so I'll become encumbered quicker when trying to level, and not be able to carry as much back from Moss Dungeon.

At least let me put the damned thing into Storage until I want to purchase. I don't want to have to destroy it - if I do that you're never getting the virtue money.

Question: What harm could it possibly do to let me put it into storage?

dismantle it.

You can't dismantle it without having the virtues.

I think it should be able to be put in storage like he says as not all can get virtues and if you cant put it in storage then epics could fill up your backpack untill you cant carry anymore since i doubt anyone would be interested in destroying such an item

Nodiatis is about choices. You are purposefully forced to choose between lugging around epics or destroying them. Having a bunch of characters running around with pretty epics in their inventory is an important part of the PvP system, sweetening the pot for potential PK's whom the odds are already stacked against.

Is not being able to put epics in storage a relatively recent change?

Because when I first got my epic I dropped it into storage with no problem.

And if this person can't drop it into storage then how can he auction it?

I KNOW people should be able to auction epics...

You can loot it directly into storage but it sticks where ever you place it. You can't do anything with epics except destroy them unless you have the virtues.

Ok that explains it. I bought the virtues right away so I could do whatever I wanted with it.
