Vices

I think it's about high time that we implement some vices, too. A vice will be the opposite of a virtue: every time you gain a vice, Jeff sends you a check in the mail. Also, there will be special equipment in the game that anyone can use EXCEPT for players having both vices specified by the item.

Sloth

This will also be a learning skill. Every time you earn rested time in excess of your rollover rested time, the excess is converted to hours and stored as sloth points. If your sloth points exceed 100,000/(Sloth skill level), then you earn the Sloth vice, and instantly lose Diligence if you had it. Sloth only earns you 1 USD from Jeff. Well, what did you expect, bum?

Greed

Again, this is also skill. Whenever shared bliss occurs, there is a .5% chance per skill level that (skill level/10) many randomly-chosen players will have their shares go to you instead of them. Each gold earned in this way earns you one greed point, earning you the Greed vice at 1,000,000 greed points. Jeff has to shell out 20 USD for this achievement, and you instantly lose Temperance if you had it.

Lust

Consult a mod for details on how to earn this vice, and whether you are eligible for it. Accurate personal info required. Payment negotiable. Void where prohibited. When you earn this vice, you instantly lose Purity if you had it.

Where are the other 27?

Cowardice

The skill increases your escape potion effectiveness by 1% per level, so at skill level 100, you never fail an escape attempt. You earn .05 cowardice points per skill level for escaping from higher-level creatures, .5 cowardice points per skill level for escaping from grays, and .1 cowardice points per skill level for all other escapes. Once you have earned 100,000 cowardice points, you win the Cowardice vice, and lose Courage if you had it. When you earn this vice, Jeff will mail you a check for 5 USD, but there will be a scary image of the Joker scrawled on the outside of the envelope, making you afraid to open it.

For each level your primary account takes in Rumpelstiltskin, there is a 1% chance that your account will not get banned if you get caught guessing someone else's password and playing as their character.

If you hack the accounts of 10 different players without getting banned, then you gain the vice Duplicity, and lose the virtue Integrity if you had it. No money is given for earning the Duplicity vice, but presumably you took a bunch of their stuff and gave it to your alts, which is reward enough for your evil. HAX!!!

Mothpire, your idea of vices stems off "the 7 deadly sins" did you realize that?

Sins are the opposite of virtues, pretty sure mothpire is aware of this and it is intentional.

Most of my vices so far are 7 deadly sins... Duplicity is an exception, though. I guess lying isn't as big a deal in Catholicism.

Cowardice doesn't seem to be on the list, either... I don't know, just going by Wikipedia here.
