It has around the same DPS as a 39 epic

accuracy doesn't mean much. I'd gladly trade crush accuracy for more damage.

Just wondering if you have seen the 88 epic helmet aswell Hidden?
its a piece of garbage, about as good as the 58 helm. much less AC than the 78.

dont forget to calculate arrow in the dps for bows. with the speed it can apply poison arrow + the arrow poison to speed up poison arrow damage.
might not be the strongest but has utility...ranger might want the 88 set for its poison boost. (or at least something fast that can use the 88 arrow because its heavy)

actaully if my math is way off its like this:
78 bow with 75 arrow (wasnt 78 on auction) 78 quiver: dps = 4.4
88 bow with 88 arrow 78 quiver: dps = 4.9

I have no problems with the arrow, it is, as i said pretty much on par with what was expected.
The problem is that using a 78bow, 88 arrow, and 78quiver (since 88 quiver hasnt been seen yet) out dps's a 88 bow, 88 arrow, 78 quiver - in my way of thinking, that should not happen.
This post was only made for Jeff to comment if it was a typo or intended, not to start a debate on whether the 88 armors were what we expected/wanted - Jeff has already commented on that and we will need to be fine with his vision, I just assumed that it only meant the armor, and not weapons/archery.

The bow's damage/delay is a completely useless statistic if you aren't adding the arrow damage first.

This is completely wrong.

I used the 88 arrow in both calculations of using the 78bow/quiver as well as the 88bow/78 quiver
- the problem was that 4 less delay from the 88 bow didnt make up for the 34 max damage loss from the 78 bow, let alone exceed it, which was expected since it is a higher level epic.
since only you have the exact dps formula's i will accept that it is tested and found to be untrue which means there is an error in my calculations. I only wanted a confirmation if the bow is as it should be, thank you.

88 epic bow dmg 15-66 dly 34 w/ 8-139 arrow is 23-205 dly 34 = 6.7 damage ratio
78 epic bow dmg 13-100 dly 38 w/ 8-139 arrow is 21-239 dly 38 = 6.84 damage ratio
I hate being wrong. But you should love it, 5 TC's for making me eat my words.
We'll increase the delay and damage of the bow to make it better than the 78 epic.
Edit: After taking another look at it, we won't be modifying this bow. There is a large gap in the accuracy that does make the 88 epic bow better when 88 arrow. And when used with higher level arrows the level 88 epic bow will clearly be better due to it's low delay. You still get your 5 TC's though.
