Default Help us Find Memory Leak

There is a memory leak in the client that causes it to run very choppy. You can help us be providing the following information when the game gets very choppy for you:

1) How long has the browser been open and what were you doing in Nodiatis during that time?
2) Type /debug and note the changing number at the bottom of the screen. Make sure your mouse cursor is over the game window and tell us how low and high the number gets and what screen you are on. Type /debug again to turn off the number or your problem will intensify since having /debug on uses more memory.
3) Does opening and closing your inventory causes the problem to subside?
4) Did you notice any messages telling you that images had flushed?
5) What client version are you using?

Thanks.

1. Opened my browser and first website I went to was Nodiatis and my computer was just turned on a minute before. I didn't notice anything until the moment I logged in and had a horrible frame rate, but it seems for me the problem begins once the game finishes loading and before I log in a character. My CPU usage goes from 2-5% up to 100% and it persists until I close out Firefox completely.

2. I play a group of 3 and all screens go up and down between 11 and 58 with the number jumping wildly up and down a few times each second.

3. No.

4. Yes, each character got the message 2-3 times total in about 2 hours of play.

5. Whatever the client was around 8 am CST this morning (0.622 maybe) up to the current one 0.645. All of the versions on 6/24 have been the only ones to give me guff.

1. About 15 mins, walking from t1 to t2 and fighting every square along the way.

2. Between 17 and 19. I was on the main screen outside of town.

3. Yes, until I try to move again, or use a gem, or exit a battle etc.

4. A few over the last 15 mins.

5. v0.645

There will be a downloadable client one day, however, that would not fix the current problem. A new client has been released v0.646 which has found a leak and fixed it. Hopefully it is the offender.

Keep in mind not everyone has a good enough computer to run multiple clients, especially not in the same window. Never run multiple instances in tabs, always create new windows for each instance.

It still seems a bit choppy in 0.646. During combat it gets especially brutal but not nearly so bad as it was constantly with 0.645.

Ok another non-memory leak issue was found that only affected some people. v0.647 has fixed it. Please give it a test.
