Lottery

How about a daily or weekly lottery where everyone who wants to participate can pay x amount of gold. Then the one lucky winner gets the whole pot minus tax (the transaction can give social xp maybe but not necessary).

There can be different tiers of entrance fees as well, so players of varying wealth can all enjoy it. There would be a winner in each tier, though, obviously, so players entering with 500 gold aren't sharing the pot with players entering with 10,000 gold.

might be fun to see but isnt there enough ways already to make plenty of gold already that you would need

Actually its more of a gold sink than a gold maker.

With the tax in place it is taking money out of the economy.

It just doesn't feel so bad because someone has a chance of winning a lot more than they put in.

And if you could put social xp gains on top of that (which is not much fun to work right now) then all the better.

well actually you can just send gold back and forth between 2 chars to gain social xp and draining the money in the game without having to participate in this sort of thing

i believe the point would be you'd get more xp from winning the lottery without lossing your gold in a game of goldtoss.

maybe so but that would also depend on the number of paticipants and there is no guarantees in a lottery where is in gold tossing your guaranteed your social xp

still, I'd like a lottery of some sort. might not be a big hit with some of the players.

liek the idea but just for interest what where u thinking of making the tier limits like per teir as obviously there be a range u could put in to fit into a tier got any idea what they'd be id suggest

0 - 1000
1001 - 2000
2001 - 3000
3001 - 4000

and so on
