Section B. New Skills For New Skill Spheres
--------------------------------------------

Battle Stances (like Auto-Attack and Auto-Shoot - learning new stances would just give you more icon buttons at the bottom of your battle screen)

Protection - non-attack stance - mitigates physical damage (Somneil)

Occlusion - non-attack stance - mitigates magical damage (Somneil)

Meditation - non-attack stance - increases m/e regen rate (Camli)


Resistance Skill Set
-------------------------
This set of skills gains xp by being HIT by the damage type in combat (must have AT remaining).

VS Crushing - Each level in this skill will increase your mitigation of crushing (including staff) attacks by 0.3% (Somneil)

VS Piercing - Each level in this skill will increase your mitigation of piercing (including arrow) attacks by 0.3% (Somneil)

VS Slashing - Each level in this skill will increase your mitigation of slashing (including whip) attacks by 0.3% (Somneil)

VS Fear - Each level in this skill will increase your chances of being unaffected by fear by 0.5% (Somneil)

VS Illusion - Each level in this skill will increase your chances of being unaffected by illusions by 0.5% (Somneil)

VS Confusion - Each level in this skill will increase your chances of being unaffected by confusion by 0.5% (Somneil)

VS Paralysis - Each level in this skill will increase your chances of being unaffected by paralysis by 0.5% (Somneil)

VS StatusEffectXYZAdInfintum (Somneil)


Roguery
---------

Pick Pocket/Mug - x% chance to grift y% bonus gold in combat (Somneil)

Lock Pick - x% chance to open level y lock

Note: locked squares would be most appropriate in dungeon settings.
I would propose that every time a lock pick attempt fails, the character/group would encounter an enemy as a penalty.

Another use for lock picking would be to open locked treasure chests after battle. Locked chests would normally, but not always, yield more gold than normal chests. And in some areas, the enemies may ONLY yield locked chests, so if you want any gold at all in that area, you might consider the Lock Picking skill. (Somneil)

Trap Lore - Another useful dungeon skill. Some squares in dungeons might contain traps to damage the character/group or have other harmful effects. Trap lore would give you x% chance of detecting and disabling a trapped square. (Somneil)

Tainted Blade - Gain x% chance to deal additional y% poison damage when attacking with Slashing or Piercing weapons (Somneil)

Stealth - Gain x% chance to ambush an enemy, giving you the initiative to strike first (free hits for y amount of ticks, kind of like a reverse encumbrance) (Somneil)


Vampyrism
-------------
Mind Echo - Gives the vampire a natural 10% chance of paralyzing the enemy in fear for 1-3 ticks (the mobs natural attack timing) . every 5 skills in this point could raise the 10% by a factor of 1% for a maxed percent of 30 when skill reaches 100. (Chandra)

Reflection - Every skill in this gives the vampire a slight chance to reflect the mobs attack be it magic or direct damage. ie. rock scorpion hits vampire for 20 and instead of vampire taking 20 dmg the rock scorpion does. ( kinda like riposte for warrior classes) (Chandra)

Life drain - Every 5 points in this skill adds 5 energy (to the default of 5 energy) that can be stolen from a mob. ie. mob has 25 energy, your skill in life drain is 15, you are able to steal 20 energy from the mob, leaving him with only 5 energy and effectively stopping him from multi magic attacks. at maxed 100 the vampire will be able to steal or drain 105 energy from enemy. (Chandra)

Essence drain - Same as above but with mana. (Chandra)

Death gaze: (20+ skill) every point in this skill gives the vampire a 1.5 %chance to destroy a grey enemy with single look. ie upon entering a grey battle with the vampire, the grey mob will drop dead. maxed this skill will give the vampire a 150% of obliterating a grey enemy. (effect only when crushing weapon equipped) (Chandra)

Confusion: (20+ skill) every point in this skill increases the chance of the vampire confusing the enemy and the enemy targetting themself. (Chandra)

Rapid Leech - every point in this skill increases the amount of hitpoints vampires leech off of the enemy by a factor 1.5.

Vampyric Strength: k so vampires are known for their inhuman feats of strength, so why not give them a skill which gives them a higher unmodded strength by a factor of 2 when maxed? ie. str = 124(unmodded), with Vampyric Strength at 100, str now = 248. With Vampyric Strength at 50, str will = 186 (Chandra)

Evade - Vampires are creatures of the night that dwell in the shadows and prey on the innocent and misfortuned. so why would they just stand around and let an enemy attack them. every point in this skill gives the vampire a 0.4% chance of evading being the target of an enemy while in a party. At maxed the evade percentage will be 40%. (Chandra)

Opportune Strike (exclamation mark icon) - each level in this skill increases your chances of an exclaimation icon popping by x% during combat (within a certain repeating time interval) - if icon is clicked, next melee attack you perform becomes a guaranteed HIT. (Somneil)

Bullseye (bullseye icon) - each level in this skill increases your chances of a bullseye icon popping by x% during combat (within a certain repeating time interval) - if icon is clicked, next ranged attack is a guaranteed hit (normal crit rates apply, this skill does not increase chance to do greater damages, merely to make a hit) (Somneil)

Tactical Roll (circular arrow icon) - each level in this skill increases your chances of a roll icon popping by x% during combat (within a certain repeating time interval) - if icon is clicked, next melee/ranged attack against you becomes a MISS. (Somneil)

Essence Harvest (faded wavy misty icon) - each level in this skill increases your chances of an essence icon popping by x% during combat (within a certain repeating time interval) - if icon is clicked, gain y amount of energy or mana (won't be a whole lot) (Somneil)

Deathstrike (skull icon) - each level in this skill increases your chances of a skull icon popping by x% during combat (within a certain repeating time interval) - if icon is clicked, target creature that is 10+ levels below you will be struck
dead immediately (might want to restrict this one in pvp/pk/pkk situations) Note: this skill was inspired by Chandra's vampire idea (something like Death Gaze) (Somneil)

To go along with the class like skill sets...

Warrior/Gaurdian type classes
--------------------------------------

Taunt - Every point in this skill increases the base chance of 25% by .75% to automatically obtain agro at the beginning of the fight. (maybe even a higher base chance like 50% base with .50% each skill point as natually these classes will have higher hp/AC rating and should be the ones tanking)
