new resurrection gems

just a question or two about them, i haven't had a chance to try them out yet but just from jeffs discription im a little confused, now the description says can only be used out of combat, but if you exit combat your deceased ally will be sent back to the nearest town
it has a pop up that says "do you really want to leave before resurrecting your party member" or something like that. my question is: would you still have to be in the combat screen to use it, or has that been change, whereas your ally doesnt get zapped back to last town visited? and if so will the dead ally just stay in one spot til resurrected?
if anyone has had a chance to use these gems can you let me know please

I think jeff means they can only be used while your at the loot screen

Is there still an AT penalty for dying even if you're ressed?

Correct. Looting is not considered in combat, if there is verbiage in the game anywhere that contradicts this let me know.

i doubt it iirc you don't lose AT till you've left the loot screen and are TP'd back to town.

I think just that one gem just made angels and priests extremely relevant classes
