Steel Fangs - Aura that heals you for 15% of all the melee damage you deal. Upkeep cost every 5 seconds.

So, not pets.

The skill says over healing. The description does not specifically say just from gems. Therefore, base on the description all over healing from any type of healing, ( pet, auras and so on) should be turned into cleanse and shown in ( ).

So if your 15% heal from melee damage is 5% more than needed that number should show as a cleanse in ( ) .

The same for pet heals.

The skill Life From Death says "overhealing from life stealing attacks".

The gem, Steel Fangs, does not cause your pets to do any life stealing attacks.

Your pets may be healing you, but it's not from Steel Fangs, and if it's not a life stealing attack based heal, then Life From Death won't cause it to convert overheal to cleanse.

Sorry am getting more confused as we discuss this. The life steeling effects, are effects against the the player who than heals against the life stealing effects. In other words all healing after you start to lose hit points. Once the hit points have been restore to max, leftover healing should be converted to cleanse.

Let me see if I can make it worse:

Steal, (as seen in Life Steal) - to take without permission, as in converting the blood of your enemy to your own life, stealing their life, vampiric healing.

Steel, (as seen in Steel Fangs) - a metallic substance commonly found in melee weapons. The steel part of steel fangs is referring to weapons, the fangs part is referring to vampirism or life steal.

There is a third type of steel, however:

Pale:

If you are full HP with that skill and either vamp rune or that gem ( ben stiller) u should be seeing the heals as (xxx) if you are in fact with a dot on you.

I think thats why you are complaining, its not doing that?

Le sigh, the Vamp overheal only procs when you are at 100% hp, which it is hard to always be at 100% hp unless you are a regener (or have a ton of HoTs on you) so you will rarely see this proc, but it does proc, and is working as intended.

He specifically said pet heals from steel fangs, and pets don't get any effect from steel fangs.

Q: "Why don't my pet heals cause life from death when i'm at max health?"

A: "Because the pet heals you're seeing aren't caused by life steal effects."

Addendum: it's possible to give pets life steal. Steel Fangs isn't how it's done.
