Archer caster is better for PvE. Has been for a while. Don?t think this will change unless you have pve only item or skills introduced for DD. Double cast is too op as well as good bow damage without needing extra stats for it. For staff damage you need str which isn?t used so much.
Is staff caster better for pvp? Dot, I think so but can be debated.
DD in 3v3 depends a lot on teammates. Both can be good.
DD in 1v1, I would prefer staff. But I would also use heals and be disgusted when I faced someone with really high cnt. As my dd damage would be tiny v the right defence.
I would never DD in 1v1. You will never come close to winning.
