Blinding arrow + thraki arrow + deflect

While under the Thraki's Haliberd Arrow aura you can blind yourself from a deflected shot. Normally while under the aura you can't be blinded from the opponents blinding arrow. Is this intended?

You cannot protect yourself from yourself. Immunities do not apply to attacks/effects that originate from you, yourself.
