As pointed out by other players and i disagreed at the time but now tested lol

u cant block or parry when an archer lol

u can still resist and now get the vengeful skill which i guess makes up for the blocking

just so u dont waste passive advancement on blocking skills if u plan to go archer

doug, ive actually blocked and parried with my archer, several times. in fact i was just in a fight with OBs where i blocked with my archer, her blocking is level 9.

will try to make it happen again.

yeh it could be possible if u have a shield but if u dont use a shield like in my equipment i have a 2 handed weapon and never get a block or parry lol

Doug, do you have the Amethyst ivory spear equiped? and if so do you get an added delay? be nice if you didn't as the stat bonuses would be worth the equip if there is no delay penalty.

i use the infected algae spear decker i gave up on weaponary lvling when i switched to archer lol xD seemed easier to like focus just on archery skills so i dont know tbh

no i dont have a shield equipped and my blocking is now 10 and i still block on archer and my parry is 9 and i still parry.

Maybe the description should be changed then, because the description is that you have a chance to block when auto attacking and using a shield and you have a chance to parry when auto attacking - both should read when auto attacking or auto shooting

well chnadra u must be luck as i dont get a single 1 lol i get resist and now vengful

but i never get a parry or block

with any char i use a bow and arrow and none have a shield but all have 2 H weapon

so dunno

and
my 3 archers

and not a single 1 gets parry or block inless they ahve a shield so i have no idea how u doing it chandra maybe u could explain so we can all get it :P

you can even ask rick, he's seen it first hand, my archer blocks and parries a lot.

ok i asked jeff

and u definetly cant block without having a shield

but u can parry with an archer if u use auto attack

instead of auto shoot

so tht is tht thanks for the input

and thanks to jeff for clearing tht up

though jeff says tht if u have someone in your group who parries and blocks

and they escape battle the client may get :S and assign these to another char

i can almost gaurantee that's what happened doug, because rick and i sat up for an hour trying to reproduce it, and my archer hasn't blocked since.

thanks for finally getting a response from jeff as I thought I was losing it, apparently it was just a glitch lol.

nice to know archers can parry though
