Dear Glitchless : T3 Fenelia's torch
Have the seer write a message saying " Don't forget to buy a torch. You will need it later" when you enter fenelia, or are about to leave. i'm sure that when new players have had to walk back to T3, i'm sure this has caused many to rage-quit. Honestly, i'm aware having players learning from their mistake is a good thing ( in any video game) but the walk from t1-t3 is roughly half an hour to an hour of time walking.
This doesn't help the game in any way. especially since the intelligence of the upcoming generation of players isn't as great as the past gaming generations. I've also asked many dumb questions myself on this game, it is very complex.
The patience of the newer gaming generation is also very short. a lot of toons don't get past level 30. A torch being a huge road-block, which is easily able to be missed is making things worse. i've been nice enough to help give toons rides to pick up the torch, but the amount is miniscule, and a lot of new players either. A. don't ask.
B. rage-quit.
C. happen to log on at a time where all the nodder's who don't care to walk a toon from T1-T3 are online. or D. they actually go back and get the torch, waste tons of rested time , and have to wait another day to go to the dungeon.
When the game was new, I could see how this wasn't a big deal. but there will have to be some changes to get the new players up to level 20, or 40. quicker than the original game used to be. Small and Big changes will need to be done.
the RRT added from quests was brilliant, but it still isn't enough. Daer even added a nodtools.net/newplayers
guide, but it just isn't enough. even his guide is missing things that are easily overlooked by a new player. Some new players are also too lazy to use the forums, or read a guide btw.
