I recently took on a project involving me testing a few thousand kills at 0 recognition and a few thousand at 100 recognition to see if boss encounter rates changed, as the popular theory holds. I took this project on because I was pissed off at people who make wild claims with no proof, but I'd really rather not do it if I don't need to. Glitch, could you please tell us whether or not recognition actually reduces boss encounter rates? I'll find out anyway, but you'll save me a lot of headache!

End results: 1.3% encounter rate.

DMV, non-static solo group, 0 recognition

650 kills

Rate: 1.54% (approximate)

700 fights
12 boss fights
Rate: 1.71% (approximate)

Rate: 1.6% (exact)

800 fights

Rate: 1.5% (exact)

Shaddup. My test will show whether or not it does what people think it does, would just prefer a confirmation and save myself a lot of effort.

I agree, but no one has done documented testing on it so I will, since a pretty good chunk of nodders believe that's what it does.

I don't know if it's coincidence but since I raised it to 100 I never had random boss like ever.
