Recuitment Exploit?

So i saw Hopilus's facebook post advertising the new server and asking people to join using her referral link and i asked myself...

"If you use a friend's referral link and make lots of purchases to get him some TCs and then split the recruitment profit, is it a real exploit?"

I know that this can easily be prevented by IP address tracking but what if you just go to a friend's house and make the referred account there?

I was thinking, i use blaze's referral since he doesn't make real money purchases anymore. That would be an exploit.
