Default 5 second arena lag after countdown

Hi Guys,

I fight 3 toons in arena and my last 3 fights i get a big lag approximately 2 seconds?? after the count down.

I have been able to start auto attack, then the mud hits and the fps drops markedly. I would guess it lasts a good 5 seconds.

The server seems to right itself after the lag spike. It has happened each of the three fights i have fought today, say 0030 - 0055 server. I spoke with Nymm and she says she gets the same thing.

A fix would be much appreciated. FYI I have deleted all java from my comp.

Thank you

It's the client that is lagging not the server, but the effect is the same. There are a couple things you can try and give us feedback on to help us with either find the issue or optimize it.
1. Try disabling all sounds, or at least all except the arena gong. If that makes the issue go away, please let us know what browser, OS, client version, and also report the sound engine revealed when you mouseover the sound mute/unmute icon.

2. Try switching to system fonts. Likewise, let us know if this improves performance or not.

Don't do both at once, since if it fixes it you won't know which was the cause.
