Default Client update

Hello, my nod client is stuck at version 1.392 and I've tried everything people have told me to do to update it. i.e. from clearing browser/java caches to restarting browsers and un-installing and re-installing java and trying to update it on another browser. It Just doesn't UPDATE! Any other help is appreciated.

Sounds like an ISP cache issue. You can try connecting once through a proxy to see if that helps.

You know of any public proxies? I haven't found any I'd be willing to trust.

Instead of saying "connecting" once, I should have said "loading the initial nod page once"

I wouldn't enter a password on any proxy site, that is for sure.

And it was a crappy solution in any case, unless you know how to take the .jar file you got from the proxy and overwrite the one in your browser's cache. The file you want is http://www.nodiatis.com/newdark.jar

Cool, cause I'm getting the same thing on one of my alts, but not my main (really strange) so I'll go ahead and try that out and see if it works.

Can you guys explain to me how to do this in layman's language? I'm not new to computers but I'm not an expert on the intricate workings of it either. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, it's all fixed now. Budrick helped me out with this... uninstalled all browsers, java, deleted every browser files caches, any thing that had any relation to java, chrome and Firefox and then rebooted PC and installed Java freshly and then Chrome and it finally updated the client! Thanks for trying to help Glitch and Daer.
