helkok glitched

after 20+hours of farming the great dam boss my highest crit with my dream stalker was 1800 damage with the helkok equiped, so i tried farming a few fights with it off, and right off the bat got a 1730 crit with my dreamstalker(farming same boss)

1800 damage isn't 12% more then 1730


so i decided to do some more tests, and farmed travlers way 100 times with it equiped and my highest crit was 1795, i took it off again and within 10 fights i had already critted for 1712

The whip has been tested and gives the proper stated increase of max damage. You have the potential to do 12% more max damage than normal. It's important to note, that since it only increases max damage, and not minimum damage, the chances of doing near full damage with the weapon will be slightly lower than without.

Glitch, can you give a little bit more clarification... (for my lizard brain)? I did a similar test to crazy's. I ran 500 tests on T-way. The MAX damage i saw with my t3- helkok 16% whip and a t2 LOD was 2774 pet crit. I then put on a t1 LOD with the T2 LOD and the max pet crit i saw in 500 fights was 2650. something just doesnt seem right here... if im seeing 2600 crits with LOD's equipped then it stands to reason with a +16% to max damage I should see over 3k,
and it wasnt a rare 2600 either, I saw them pretty regularly.

these tests were conducted by starting combat and just letting pets attack. I kept track of MAX damage, since this is what HELKOK is supposed to buff. and a 100 damage difference between a t1 lod and t3 helkok is not a 16% increase.

that's why I got rid of mine... a 100 damage increase was not worth it with a 24% increase in damage (had 2 koks equipped). And that wasn't just a few fights either, was a lot since I was on pilgrimage and used them for at least a week killing in canyon edge red/orange mobs.

Then it must be a very small chance to hit your potential max damage while using them

If you want to see higher damage, increase both worgen and strength, since a pet's chance to do max damage is based on its strength.

well lets see, i have worgen at 100 and had 800 str so i should have seen max damage quite often.... but again the difference between a t3 kok/t2 lod and a t1 lod/t2 lod was about 100 damage...

Same here, i am using a kok & a lod, and don't see the desired dmg increase. Something really is not working well.

i would have to side with these guys also... i dont see much of a diffrence between rwo lods and 1t2 lod and a kok

Stop getting your koks in a knot boys and just keep your hopes up that you might be as strong as you think you are and might hit your "max" damage !!

I agree with hood. Don't blame the kok,it's gotta be something else. In all seriousness, i would imagine this mechanic works similar to the obliterator quiver. Has that item also been having similar lack of performance? If so, the multiplier may not work as we think.
