I have an idea.

Change mc and bgt so that trophy and gold drops are proportional to mob/boss hit point total / durability.
Here is the reasoning:
Take any player.
Lets say that this player has dps = x.
Since dps = x everywhere that this player farms, fight length depends on hitpoint total / durability.
Hence, if drops depend on the hitpoints of the mob/boss, then drops will always be fair.
(2)
Make it so that being in a group no longer penalizes drops. Even in a group fight, a player gets just as much loot as said player would get fighting solo. With the stacking feature, this should not be a problem (up to 3 pages of drops are possible).
This should encourage grouping because the player would get just as many trophies/gold per fight as they would fighting solo. Being in a group will increase dps and fights will be faster. Hence, the hourly loot drop rate for being in a group will actually be higher.
EDIT:
I am ok with how the system works right now.
I am fine with the number/amount of trophies/gold that I get farming solo in areas from goblin swamp to pit of eternity. And I prefer playing solo anyways - not much of a group player.
But if a change needs to or is going to be made, then this is my 2 cents.
