Whyle it is true that this idea will require a lot of work , however i truely believe that it will innovate Nodiatis and will give it new and unique gameing experience. whyle we do have a fair ammount of options to currently play with, many players have "been there , done that" whyle this new system of fighting will allow the player the ability to be a half melee half caster machine , insureing a new and balanced type of player with many diffrent ways to use it. with all that being said , do you truely not believe it to be worth a bit of work to get it up and going , and we could even make it faster comeing if we continue to get ppl to post in here and submit opinions on it and even ideas about it , every bit could potientally help, so y not help make our game a bit better ?

Cool support some

the basis of this idea has merit. for what need is a sword to those who have forged their bodys in the fire of their will? unarmed combat would be a great idea. instead of magic, as you level unarmed combt you will have chances to pull off combos that could cripple,blind,stun,paralyze,compound fracture(bleed),strike back...the options could be limetless(@certain levels of it). as far as armoring all you would need is lvl suiting and equip gear that adds body defence(stone skin) and equip arm bands,sashes,head bands,shin guards and belted robes(by color) all of which would add greater stat enhances than normal gear. all of this could be possible through the stictest of adherence foregoing any other equipment and spells (unless you find a way to unleash a masters chi.

Default how rings could come into play

evwry 10 levels (one for each finger+thumbs) you could have a ring added to gem pouch (max 10 @ lvl 100) and rest of pouch full of escapes (cant add rings to gem pouch when other gems are in there--exept for derinium and such--and if even 1 ring is in you cant add gems) by donning a ring it is used as a 1 time gem(releases chi) or it stays on (recastable type chi releasing--lower power) or it stays on/active( aura type//Hot-regening-defensive capabilities as in parrying, strike back, counter....so much can be done if only a little thought and a crap load of work were put in. of course you could prob allow gem bag to be filled with rings as well...seeing as you could only have 6 rings equiped @ a time. just thinking aloud here.

when equiping weapons or armor not suited to unarmed combat (even 1 piece) all unarmed bonuses are negated.

flurry-melee haste

stone skin-adds defense

counter-counters physical attack(acts like deflect)

bide time-lowers attack speed and ups attack power

charge up-next chi attack has chance to add daze/mez/stun

focus-ups chance to hit

read aura-take advantage of an opponents mind set to avoid attacks

cripple-high chance to stun

aura explosion-high chance to mez

socket punch-high chance to daze

fracture arm-slows attack speed

fracture leg-opponent can't flee

compound fracture-high bleed damage over time(cant be proc'ed again until bleed damage is over)

peace-slows attack speed on self and grants regen% and parry%

i'll share forums.

wow you really though tht through , and i actully agree with a lot of that , takes my origional gauntlet idea and hand more hand to hand combat into it , infact imquie fond of the idea , if it ever got put into the game id reroll into that type of class in a heartbeat :P
